Being transgender is a topic that will be talked about because it is not acceptable. Being transgender is a cultural, religious, and political issue. Many transgender women can not be accepted in their family because it is not right and it is not what they believe in. Which also connects to religious beliefs that their family believes in. Many families will follow their culture and go with what the bible says and won't accept their children for who they want to be and with what makes them happy.
With political views, many of them do not believe that they should have a right to have jobs, have no equal rights, and have a chance to adoptive services. Many transgender women are not able to get a job because they are not accepted and are not considered as a "human." Many of transgender women are judged almost everyday of their lives just because they are being transgender. The political views should really see that transgender women deserve all the same equal rights. Transgender women should not be treated any different and should be considered and called the way they consider themselves as, if it is either, male or female. Everyone deserves to be treated as human beings and not any different. Many transgender women are not able to adoptive services simply because they are who they are. "Unfortunately there are as many court cases that have denied custody on access by transgender parents to their children" (Sember, 2003). They should see that transgender women are good and are really being themselves, and there is nothing wrong with that.
There are laws being passed to let transgender women work, adopt, and have equal rights. Already some job places have policies for transgenders to not be judged for who they are. "Fed-Ex, the speedy, worldwide delivery company, announced it will add gender identity to is anti-discrimination hiring policies...making it illegal to discriminate against transgender people in the workplace" (Lettelier, 2009). There are different organizations around the country that help transgender people feel safe, a place where they feel comfortable opening up and feel like they are welcomed for being who they are. Some solutions may be effected but not all are fully there.
